Injury prevention and CPR training for you and your family
Learning CPR can be a heavy, stressful topic.
Not only that – it can be hard to remember after the training is done when you are focussed on test taking!
I help take away the stress by making CPR training fun, easy and memorable.

Is CPR training for you?
As a certified CPR instructor for more than 18 years with Heart and Stroke Foundation, I provide training in two options:

  1. Public training
I offer this course to groups through the Ottawa Childbirth Education Association, in a central Ottawa location. Click here for a schedule of upcoming CPR training sessions in Ottawa
  2. Private in-home CPR training
This type of training is ideal for new families who are having trouble getting out of the house or would like to host a CPR training session for families and friends.  I will come to your home and provide training in a comfortable, relaxed setting.  (Note: minimum 4 participants within the Ottawa Greenbelt; and 5 participants outside the Greenbelt.)  This is perfect to help you prepare to open a summer pool, get ready for the cottage, refresh an outdated session or take your very first class!

What you will learn
Each session is approximately 2 – 2.5 hours and includes the following topics:
Recognition of cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest
Home safety and injury prevention for babies and children
Performing CPR on infant, children and adults
Clearing airway obstructions for all three age groups (choking)

I bring all the necessary equipment, including manikins, facemasks, class materials.  You will receive a completion card from Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Cost
All CPR training is provided at $40 per person.
